Terms of use
1. Who these terms are with
This site is published by LLM Tier, an independent measurement lab, contactable at lab@llm-tier.com. By using the site, the public data endpoints or the exports, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What the service is
LLM Tier publishes measurements of third party software: AI application builders, coding agents and language models. Measurements are produced by running a published test specification and recording the outcome of each attempt. The composite index is an arithmetic combination of those measurements under published weights. It is a measurement of specific behaviour on a specific spec at a specific time, and nothing more.
3. No warranty, and the limits of a benchmark
The service is provided as is. We take reasonable care, we publish our method, and we correct errors when they are shown to us, but we do not warrant that a figure is free of error, that it is current for a product that shipped an update this morning, or that it predicts how a product will perform on your workload. Nothing here is professional, legal, financial or procurement advice. Decisions you take on the basis of these numbers are yours. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data and loss of business opportunity arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
4. Reusing the measurements
The measurement data we publish, meaning the index scores, subscores, per run outcomes, timings and the derived tables, is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY-4.0). You may copy it, redistribute it, transform it and use it commercially, including as training or retrieval material for a language model, provided you credit LLM Tier, link to the page or endpoint you took the figure from, and indicate whether you changed anything. Machine readable exports are documented on the data page.
The licence covers the data. It does not cover the site design, the page templates, the written analysis in the lab notes and product commentary, or our name and logo, all of which remain our property and are not licensed for reuse. Product names, logos and screenshots belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification and commentary.
5. Attribution that is actually acceptable
An acceptable credit names the lab and links to the source page, for example: index score from LLM Tier, measured 14 August 2026. An unacceptable credit removes the source, presents our figure as your own measurement, or attributes a number to us that we did not publish. Do not present a figure you have recalculated under different weights as our index. Recompute freely, but call it yours.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service. Do not scrape at a rate that degrades it for other people, and use the JSON and CSV endpoints rather than crawling every page, because that is what they exist for. Do not submit a review you did not write, a review of a product you have not used, or a review on behalf of a vendor without saying so. Do not use the contact form for marketing.
7. Content you submit
If you submit a reader review you confirm that it is your own honest experience, that you have the right to publish it, and that it is not defamatory or unlawful. You grant us a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to publish, store, reproduce and distribute it as part of the service and its data exports, including in the public API responses. You keep ownership. We moderate before publication and may decline or remove a submission at our discretion, in particular where it appears to be vendor authored, incentivised or automated.
8. Independence
No vendor pays for inclusion, position, wording or timing. We do not take sponsorship of a ranking, we do not sell a place in the index, and we do not give vendors advance sight of results. If a commercial relationship of any kind ever exists with a measured party, it will be disclosed on the affected page. Any assertion elsewhere that a placement here was bought is false and we will say so.
9. Corrections and disputes about a figure
If you believe a published figure is wrong, send the product, the figure, the page and your evidence to lab@llm-tier.com or use the contact form. Our normal remedy is to re run the affected measurement under the published spec and republish the result, whichever direction it moves. We do not remove an accurate measurement because it is unwelcome.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service, including endpoints and their response shapes, though we will keep breaking changes to the public data endpoints rare and announce them in the lab notes. We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here, dated at the top of this page.
11. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which the lab is established, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
